Tear Out & Site Preparation

Before any new concrete could be poured, our team began by executing full-depth tear-outs of existing sidewalks, curbs, and drive lanes. This process involved removing broken, lifted, or poorly aligned concrete using precision equipment and experienced machine operators. As shown in the first few images, large concrete slabs were cleanly extracted and hauled away while trenches were dug to accommodate proper drainage slope and updated layout requirements. The use of cones and barriers ensured pedestrian safety and traffic flow throughout the project.

Framing, Grading, and Subbase Work

With all old concrete removed, we moved into preparing a reliable base — compacting gravel, adjusting grade, and laying out forms for clean, defined edges. In several of the sites pictured, you can see tight framing lines and accurate chalk marks, which allow our finishers to shape smooth transitions for curbs, ADA ramps, and driveway edges. This stage is essential for long-term durability and helps prevent future cracking or settlement by giving the new concrete a stable, level foundation.

Concrete Pour and Finishing Excellence

The final stage involved pouring and finishing new concrete surfaces, shaped precisely to their respective applications — including commercial sidewalks, curbing, drive entrances, and drainage pathways. In the last images, you can see crisp trowel lines and beveled control joints placed for crack control and long-term strength. Our crew ensures each pour is timed for the right weather conditions and finished with attention to drainage pitch, visual consistency, and surface texture. Whether for public infrastructure or private property upgrades, Recinos Construction delivers concrete work that’s as durable as it is clean.
